  • To-do-list

I can't believe that I insist on going to RSF almost everyday since last week. I can see the change on my weight already. Starting going back to the gym room is one of my to-do-list in this summer and now, here is the whole list:

Go to gym or other kind of exercisers at least every other day
Eat healthier, sleep earlier and wake up earlier
Minimize the time on academic things
Prevent myself from being a nerdy guy
    Don't stress myself too much
Don't force myself to do something that I dislike
Learn how to care more about my own feeling rather the others
    Be myself
    Be myself
    Be myself
    Lead a no pressure life
    Treat myself better
    Treat myself better
    Treat myself better
    Treat my friends better
    Treat my friends better
Learn the bright side of life (yup, life is supposed to be hard, but it is also supposed to be fun too )
    Recessive rather than dominant
Go to fellowship, go to Sunday school if I am free
    Start playing acoustic again
Get a film camera, old-fashioned and classic one
Modify my car, start from the stereo system (a little nerdy here)
Go to Yellowstone three weeks later

If I can think of more, I will add to this list. Those listed above are important one.....

  • Is it just another Truman Show?

So another week has passed, and it gonna week 12th next week...Now we had jumped into the most beautiful subject of this class, the hardware part and the implementation of a single cycle 16bits CPU..It is just so cool when you can build a CPU from scratch and just with some simply logic gates
It's damn hard, but no one has ever said it is easy

In this weekend, we watched two movies. The first one I have watched it 5-6 yeras ago, Fight Club. The second one I watched today which is The Truman Show. Fight Club talked about the stereotype life everyone has nowadays; the materialistic and consumerism mode of life. When you buy furniture, you first think of IKEA; when you go out for coffee, you will go to Starbuks; you have fast food everyday and you goto supermarket and Costco for grocery. Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Macy's, Westfield. It just like there is someone who control all the necessity for you and you work for them in return everyday. You go to college, you get a degree from ivy league; you graduate and crave for a well-paid job in a large firm, say Big Four? you earn salary and save a few bucks just enough for the mortage of your dream house; you marry and have a few children; you work hard everyday; you have your family day every sunday; and you work hard again; you ask your children to goto college; you ask them to repeat your life again; you retire and then you die; your children keeps on repeating your life and the cycle never comes to the end.

I believe that even if you have no religious background, you will ask the purpose of life somehow. Why do I have to keep repeating this mode of life, why don't I just kill myself and end everything in a fast way; Isn't that just the same? Those Christian claimed that we are children of god, and everything we don on earth are for preparing ourself going to heaven and for eternity. God has his own plan for each unique us and if you follow god, if you walk with god, if we listen to him, our life will become more meaningful. You may have came across some unfair stuff throughout your life, and you may ask if it is really his plan? Why do I have to suffer something like that? Then again, those Christian will come out and said that we have to treat all those suffer as blessing. Then we pray and if we ask something for god now, he will listen to us and give his hand to we the poor human, because he is a real god and he has promised that in the holy bible.

The Truman Show kinda makes us to think in a religious perspective: Everyone is searching for a absoult in his/her life, but when it comes to the end, you want to have eternity but a hypocritcal world or a true real world but filled with malicious, immority things. These two movies is for the meaning of life, but in a two different perspective. The Fight Club definitely give you a hard slap on your face and make you think hard about your poor life again. Get a degree; get a job; get a house and get a wife? The message is so powerful because we felt guilty of everything the movie said. We have all kinds of technology and we now longer live in a cave. We can have the best food, the best living standard thorughout the whole human civilization. But we all are so weak to face the obstacles in our life and we rely too much on the outside world. We forget all the basic element of life. We don't know why do we have to do it, dress like that, and go to that kind of restaurant. "Lonely Crowd", this book from one of my Anthropology class comes to my mind again. The book claimed that we are outsider and other-directed. It is very true....

When one think about the meaning of life, you cant skip the religious things. There are too many different kinds of religious in this world for you to know. Of course, each of them will claim that they are the true god and others are fake. So, what do you want to trust, and how do you choose?
I am not a Christian but I goto fellowship and trying to goto the Sunday school as well. Why? I do it for my own sake, when you come to 20s, I believe that it is our own responsiblitiy to search for absoult in ourown life. You can't skip it and you have to face it or you will be a loser..Do you want to live for 80 years but know nothing about your meaning of life. When people ask you questions like why do you do this, and why do you do that. you don't want to say you don't know...

It is just the same as you think hard about the relationship things, it is damn hard, and sometimes unexplainable, but you know you will find it at the end

  • New Soul - Yael Naim

    應該聽過罷
    還記得Mac Book Air 廣告嗎

I'm a new soul I came to this strange world hoping I could learn a bit about how to give and take.
But since I came here felt the joy and the fear finding myself making every possible mistake

    la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

I'm a young soul in this very strange world hoping I could learn a bit about what is true and fake.
But why don't please trying to communicate finding just that love is not always easy to make.

    la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

This is a happy end cause' you don't understand everything you have done why's everything so wrong

this is a happy end come and give me your hand I'll take your far away.

    [Refrain]:
I'm a new soul I came to this strange world hoping I could learn a bit about how to give and take but since I came here felt the joy and the fear finding myself making every possible mistake

    la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

    la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la....
